MALAYSIAN auto parts and electronics companies should diversify into auto electronics to boost earnings as the sector has been earmarked for growth with strong backing from the Government. 

The Malaysian Government has identified auto electronics, together with engines, transmission systems and special purpose vehicles as new growth areas for the automotive industry in the Third Industrial Malaysia Plan, which is an economic blueprint for the next 15 years.
