Will uptrend continue?


PETALING JAYA: Most markets around the world have been on the uptrend since the beginning of the third quarter but the monetary policies of major economies have left equity researchers wondering if the bullishness will hold up going forward. 

The upturn in global markets has been more pronounced since end-July amid expectation that the US Federal Reserve (Fed) would take a pause in raising interest rates, as well as the sharp drop in oil price from its record in early August.
