KUALA LUMPUR: The World Halal Forum is hopeful that the Ninth Malaysia Plan (9MP) will facilitate its proposal on the formation of a centralised agency to oversee halal governance, said chairman Khairy Jamaluddin.

“We hope the 9MP will crystallise some of the strategies we are proposing,” he told the media after receiving RM200,000 from platinum sponsor CIMB Islamic for the 2006 forum, to be launched on March 16.
