TOKYO: Nippon Sheet Glass Co Ltd (NSG) says goodwill amortisation from the purchase of Britain's Pilkington Plc will cost 220 billion yen (US$1.9bil), or 11 billion yen a year over a 20-year payment period.
NSG chairman and chief executive Yozo Izuhara also said yesterday that new bank borrowing to finance the deal was about 140 billion yen, which the company should be able to pay off in a few years.
