MBF Cards (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd president John Ding is confident that the government-projected consumer spending growth rate of 4% per year will only bode well for the bank credit card industry in the country.
Speaking to reporters at a prize-giving ceremony for its MBF Cards Win Around The Clock 5 (WATC5) campaign in Kuala Lumpur yesterday, Ding said: Because of the positive outlook by the Government, we at MBF Cards are able to set reasonable targets in areas like card circulation, card-holder spending as well as revenue. For example, the company will be targeting revenue growth of 20% for next year.
