WORLD-renowned industry leaders and personalities are expected to converge at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre for the maiden Global Leadership Forum to be held on Sept 6 and 7.
Among the leaders who would share their thoughts and visions at the forum are former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, British Telecom chairman Sir Christopher Bland, The Body Shop founder Anita Roddick, Air Asia Bhd chief executive officer Tony Fernandes, World Bank former chief economist Joseph Stiglitz, and Neil Armstrong, the first man to land on the moon.
The event would be officiated by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.
The event's organiser is Foundation For The Future, an international think-tank that provides independent research services.
Foundation For The Future chief executive officer Professor Azman Awang told StarBiz: “It is our hope that the forum, with the theme Leadership, Innovation and Branding – The Way Forward addressed through a series of stimulating speeches and panel discussions, question-and-answer sessions and knowledge sharing exercises, will be a force for positive business practices as well as social change.
“The event marks Malaysia’s continuing growth as a voice in the international community with experiences and contributions to share with other nations to influence the changing global landscape.
“The Global Leadership Forum will be a milestone event as Malaysia aspires to be an intellectual hub for world-class dialogues and events.”
Prof Azman expects to see some 3,000 participants, half of whom foreigners, at the event.
