MALAYSIA has steadily increased the exports of certified timber products, which fetch a 3% to 4% premium, to Europe and Australia since 2002.
According to Malaysian Timber Certification Council (MTCC) senior manager Harnarinder Singh, over 26,000 cu m of certified timber products have been sold to the Netherlands, Britain, Belgium, France, Germany and Australia.
