PROPERTY prices in Alor Star, especially for residential types, are likely to shoot up by the middle of next year, according to Jurunilai Bersekutu (Kedah) Sdn Bhd director Che Had Dhali.
He said the increase in property prices would be due to the rising population, which had grown more than 5% since 2000. According to him, Alor Star now has a population of about 400,000.
