THE Government will go ahead with the privatisation of Perbadanan Urus Air Selangor Bhd (PUAS) in view of the deteriorating financial condition of the state's corporatised water supply operator, said Energy, Water and Communications Minister Datuk Seri Dr Lim Keng Yaik.
“PUAS is almost insolvent; it can't put in any new investments to improve the water supply operations in the state,” Lim told reporters after opening the National Utilities Summit 2004 in Petaling Jaya yesterday.
