Singapore's Temasek Holdings Pte Ltd is believed to have offered RM2.60–RM2.65 a share for a stake in Malaysian Plantations Bhd (MPlant) but the owners of the company are said to be none too receptive to the pricing.
That was what the market was abuzz with yesterday afternoon. There was talk that the pricing issue could snarl up a possible deal, although sources in Singapore maintained that the negotiations “are still intact with a view to eventually coming to an agreement’’.
