Extra RM10bil brings cheer to smaller construction companies

ANALYSTS view the additional RM10bil allocated for the government's development expenditure in the Eighth Malaysian Plan as a ray of hope for the construction sector with the smaller players expected to be the main beneficiaries.

With the government's focus on social projects like the construction of roads, schools and hospitals, analysts expect small and mid-sized construction companies like MTD Capital Bhd, Muhibbah Engineering Bhd, Hock Seng Lee Bhd and WCT Engineering Bhd to be likely candidates to benefit.
