IT is difficult to imagine a successful branding strategy in the ceramic tiling business when most people normally want to know whether a tile they plan to buy is imported or locally made, or whether the colour or pattern chosen fits into their design concept. 

But it is precisely this blasé attitude that set Guocera Holdings Sdn Bhd thinking differently years ago when it started marketing its tiles under the Ceramiche Guocera brand.
