KUALA LUMPUR: Hai-O Informtech Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of healthcare company Hai-O Enterprise Bhd, plans to develop mobile phone encryption chips by the end of next year.
The company’s research and development (R&D) head, Prof Wu Jin Mu, who is also an expert in information security technology, told Sunday Star that this would make Hai-O Informtech the first local company to produce prototype encryption chips in Malaysia.
