GOLDEN Hope Plantations Bhd, which is in the midst of a merger with Island & Peninsular Bhd (I&P), plans to dispose of some of its non-core operations in efforts to be more focused on palm oil–related activities.
Group chief executive Datuk Wahab Maskan said most of the non-core companies slated for sale were too small to manage and would have to go – even if they were currently profitable.
