WHILE boys his age were still schooling and enjoying themselves, Datuk Lim Yew Loong was holding two jobs a day. In the morning he sold soya bean milk and at night helped his mother sell chee cheong fun.
Lim was earning RM1.50 a day as a welder at the age of 15 in 1975. After two years of hard work, his wage rose to RM2.50 a day. “I could not even afford to buy a motorcycle,” Lim recalled.
