UPA Corp Bhd unit Macro Plastic Sdn Bhd is buying a SML polyester film manufacturing machine for RM8mil in a bid to diversify into the polyester film manufacturing industry.
The company said in a statement that the machine, which has a maximum production capacity of 5,000 tonnes per year, would produce polyester film that was environmental friendly and suitable for food and beverage packaging.
