Oil prices steady as Iran-US tensions, US data eyed


Brent futures fell 24 cents, or 0.3%, to settle at US$68.80 a barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude fell 40 cents, or 0.6%, to settle at US$63.96.

NEW YORK: Oil prices were little changed on Tuesday as the market waited for direction from news on diplomatic relations between the US and Iran, efforts to end Russia's war in Ukraine and data on the US economy and US oil inventories.

Brent futures fell 24 cents, or 0.3%, to settle at US$68.80 a barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude fell 40 cents, or 0.6%, to settle at US$63.96.
