Malaysia's rising star Aina Abdul unveils ‘Bluest Sky’ as Malaysia’s Eurovision Asia 2026 entry

Aina Abdul has revealed “Bluest Sky,” the ballad she will perform as Malaysia’s representative at Eurovision Asia 2026.

The song was announced following Aina’s selection through the Anugerah Juara Lagu ke-40 (AJL40) stage last August. Written by Aina and arranged by composer Mac Chew, “Bluest Sky” is a large-scale power ballad featuring hundreds of instrumental tracks.

The song explores love, grief and uncertainty in a troubled relationship, while holding on to the hope that sadness will eventually pass. Aina said she felt proud when she first heard the master recording, describing it as the realisation of her ambition to create a richly arranged power ballad.

She also called the recording process one of the most challenging of her career, particularly because of the emotional range required.

“In just one minute, I need to convey a range of emotions from love, sorrow, and confusion to exhaustion,” Aina said. She hopes the international exposure will introduce audiences to her artistry and help bring Malaysian music to a wider stage.

An exclusive listening session for “Bluest Sky” was held on October 8 at Rex KL in Petaling Street. The cloud-themed event brought together media and fans to hear the song and learn more about its creation and Aina’s preparations for the competition.

Viewers can follow her journey in Malaysia Pursuing Dreams with Aina Abdul, a series of two-minute documentary capsules airing weekly on TV3’s Melodi. The episodes will also be shared on Instagram at @meloditv3 and TikTok at @TV3malaysia and @meloditerhangat.

“Bluest Sky” marks a new chapter in Aina’s musical journey as she prepares to represent Malaysia at Eurovision Asia 2026.

Aina also has Aina Abdul Entertainment to help her along the way. The company is an entertainment and music production setup from Malaysia, founded by the outstanding vocal singer and leading songwriter.
