Cat beauty specialist Suezy Natasha wins global recognition at FFGA World Grooming Competition 2026 in Bangkok

BANGKOK/KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian cat grooming specialist Suezy Natasha has earned major international recognition, placing second in Best World Top Groomer 2026 at the FFGA World Grooming Competition, held in Bangkok on October 2.

The competition brought together 50 leading cat groomers from around the world. Suezy’s strong performance also earned her Best Combing Skill and top honors across several coat categories: * 1st Top Groomer — Curly Coat; 1st Top Groomer — Semilonghair Dense Coat; 2nd Top Groomer — Semilonghair Silky Coat

Suezy’s success was also matched by an impressive performance from Team Malaysia. Competing alongside fellow Malaysian groomers Shahrizan and Nurhidayah, she helped lead the team to second Best World Groomer Team.

The competition assessed more than the visual results of each groom. Participants were also tested on their knowledge of feline coat characteristics, grooming requirements, and the standards appropriate to different coat types.

For Suezy, the event was an opportunity to represent Malaysia while testing her skills and knowledge against some of the world’s leading professionals.

“Participating in an international competition is not only about bringing the name of Malaysia to the world. It is also about challenging myself, testing my skills and knowledge, and learning from other professional groomers,” Suezy said.

She described the competition as an important platform for professional exchange, where groomers from different countries could share techniques, experiences, and perspectives—and help raise standards across the industry.

Suezy hopes achievements at international events such as the FFGA World Grooming Competition will bring greater recognition to Malaysia’s professional cat-grooming industry.

She believes more competitions and professional platforms could help both emerging and established groomers develop their skills, gain international exposure, and pursue excellence in their craft.

“Competitions like this allow groomers to sharpen their skills, gain experience, and continue improving. At the same time, they can help strengthen and develop the local cat-grooming industry,” she said.

"In all, I also like to extend my congratulations to all the winners and participants at the FFGA World Grooming Competition 2026."

Suezy’s latest achievements mark another milestone in her professional journey and highlight the growing presence of Malaysian talent in the global cat-grooming community. Her performance in Bangkok has put Malaysia among the countries making their mark in competitive feline grooming, showcasing the skill, dedication, and professional knowledge of its groomers.
