BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: Commissioner of Police at the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) Datuk Paduka Sulaiman Alidin emphasised the importance for recruits and all members of the force to continually uphold and practice the force’s identity and core values while carrying out their duties and in their daily lives.

He said this as the guest of honour during the Passing-Out Parade ceremony at the Parade Ground of the Police Training Centre RBPF yesterday morning.

He also highlighted the challenges faced by the recruits throughout their Basic Police Training, which tested their mental and physical toughness.

The training was aimed to prepare the recruits to carry out their duties as police officers effectively and confidently.

The Commissioner also recalled the titah delivered by Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah during the Majlis Istiadat Penganugerahan Panji-Panji Peribadi Baginda which touched on the importance of honesty, transparency, responsibility and strong discipline in maintaining public trust of the police force, as well as becoming a defensive wall in facing moral and ethical challenges.

In upholding His Majesty’s titah, the guest of honour urged all members of the force to maintain high standards of discipline by upholding the declaration pledged by every police officer upon joining the service under Section 21 of the Royal Brunei Police Force Act. - Borneo Bulletin/ANN
