HANOI: Vietnam's 16th National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee concluded its sixth session in Hanoi on Wednesday (Sept 30), approving the inclusion of 21 draft laws in the 2027 legislative agenda, Vietnam News Agency reported.
Under the agenda, the committee will submit nine draft laws to the 16th NA for consideration and approval at its third session in May 2027. They include the amended Law on Militia and Self-Defence Forces, the amended Law on Prevention and Control of Natural Disasters and the amended Law on National Defence.
Twelve more draft laws will be submitted to the NA's fourth session in October 2027, including the amended Law on Enterprises and the amended Law on Defence and Security Education.
At the sixth session, the NA Standing Committee also considered and commented on 29 draft laws and resolutions to be submitted to the second session of the 16th NA next month, the report said. - Xinhua
