Oversea launches 'The Moonlight Collection' for the 2026 Mid-Summer Festival

The Mid-Autumn full moon heralds a reunion — a cherished time for family and friends to come together. In celebration of the 2026 Mid-Autumn Festival, Oversea proudly presents “The Moonlight Collection,” marking a new chapter in the brand’s mooncake-making craftsmanship.

Inspired by the joy of gathering under the moon, the collection brings together the enduring tradition of mooncake-baking techniques with innovative flavours and textures of modern “Momoyama-style pastry and snow skin mooncakes”. Elegantly presented in refined gift boxes, each mooncake is created to capture the warmth and atmosphere of the festive season.

Thoughtfully crafted for family celebrations, it is ideal to be presented as a meaningful gift. Each Oversea’s mooncake in the Moonlight Collection is meticulously crafted with careful attention to the richness of its fillings and texture as well as to produce a delicate balance of sweetness. This upholds the brand’s commitment to quality for more than half a century.

For the 2026 mooncake collection, Oversea stays true to the essence of tradition even as it introduces new elegant tea aromas, refined dessert-inspired flavours and other creative elements. The result is a fresh take on the classic Mid-Autumn experience to awaken the taste buds of a new generation and to foster a cultural reconnection with this cherished tradition.

This year’s collection introduces three thoughtfully crafted innovative flavours, each showcasing a different aspect of the modern art of

dessert-making:  Momoyama Peach Tea Cream Cheese Mooncake — A delicate Momoyama-style pastry which captures the refreshing aroma of peach tea and a smooth, creamy cheese filling to bring out a light texture with an elegant fragrance.

Momoyama Toffee Caramel Mooncake — A refined Momoyama pastry artfully paired with the rich, indulgent flavour of toffee and mellow sweetness of caramel. Full-bodied yet balanced, it delivers a satisfying sweetness without being overly rich and the Snowy Mango Boba Mooncake — Soft and chewy snow skin pastry oozing with tropical fragrance of mango, complemented by delightfully chewy boba pearls for a playful surprise in every bite.

The new collection also features a selection of popular Momoyama-style mooncakes, including classic favourites such as Chocolate Lava Mooncake and Matcha Red Bean Mochi Mooncake.

Meanwhile, the range of snow skin mooncakes includes indulgent creations such as Snowy Hazelnut Chocolate Ganache Mooncake and Snowy Noble Delight with Mango Mooncake. All of these offer an array of vibrant flavours to delight a variety of tastes.

Oversea's all-time favourite signature mooncakes, including Shanghai with Single Yolk, Golden Starlight with Single Yolk and Noble Delight with Single Yolk, remain an indispensable part of this year’s collection.

Thoughtfully curated for Mid-Autumn gifting, the “Lunar Rise” gift set (RM168 per box) features four exquisite mooncake flavours: Momoyama Peach Tea Cream Cheese, Momoyama Toffee Caramel Mooncake, Golden Starlight with Single Yolk Mooncake and White Lotus with Single Yolk Mooncake (Less Sweet).

Oversea spokesperson said: “Mid-Autumn Festival is a moment for reunion, and every mooncake embodies thoughts of loved ones, the longing to return home and its warmth. This year’s Moonlight Collection retains the classic flavours that our customers look forward to every year but also introduces contemporary and new flavours."
