YANGON: Chinland FC announced on the evening of August 29 that its missing player, Pa Lung (pic), had been safely found and had returned home urgently due to his mother’s serious health condition.
In a statement posted on Chinland FC’s Facebook page, the club said it was pleased to inform the public that Pa Lung, who had been out of contact for seven days, had been safely located and had rejoined the team.
The statement said Pa Lung had urgently returned to his hometown without being able to notify the club because of his mother’s critical health emergency. He subsequently lost contact with the club because his phone battery ran out during the journey and he encountered other communication difficulties.
The club further stated, “We have now re-established contact with Pa Lung, and he has safely returned to the team. We would like to assure his family members, relatives, friends, supporters and everyone who was concerned about him that they can now be relieved.”
According to the statement, after losing contact with Pa Lung, Chinland FC filed an official missing-person report with the relevant police station, while club officials made every effort to search for him for five days.
As no contact could be established despite the passage of time, the club became particularly concerned about his safety and issued an official public appeal for assistance.
Chinland FC also expressed its great relief at finding Pa Lung safe and thanked everyone who had been concerned about his safety, assisted in the search, shared information and offered prayers and good wishes during the period.
The club extended special thanks to officials from the Myanmar Football Federation (MFF) and Myanmar National League (MNL), relevant authorities, media organisations, the Myanmar Police Force and responsible personnel from relevant organisations, as well as everyone who helped in any way to locate Pa Lung safely. - Eleven Media/ANN
