YANGON: Four people were killed and three others injured after a passenger car crashed into a concrete barrier on Myanmar's Yangon-Mandalay highway, the highway traffic police force said Thursday (Aug 27).
The accident occurred at around 2.50pm local time on Wednesday (Aug 26) near milepost 267, when the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to crash into a concrete barrier and overturn, the police force said.
The vehicle, carrying two men and five women, was traveling from Naypyidaw to Mandalay when the accident occurred, it said.
The driver and three female passengers died at the scene, while the other three passengers were injured and taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment, it added. - Xinhua
