MANILA: The Philippine House of Representatives on Monday (Aug 24) resumed deliberations on the 2027 National Expenditure Programme, which proposes a budget of 7.2 trillion pesos (US$116.6 billion).
Spending plans of other departments, including the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation, Department of Trade and Industry, Department of Justice, and Department of Science and Technology, are being reviewed simultaneously.
House leaders have set a 53-day timeline to approve the General Appropriations Bill by October.
