96 kg of ICE, over 9,000 stimulant tablets seized in eastern Myanmar


YANGON: Myanmar authorities seized 96 kg of ICE and over 9,000 stimulant tablets in Myanmar's Shan state, the state-owned daily Myanma Alinn reported on Friday (Aug 21).

Acting on a tip-off, anti-narcotics police searched a vehicle in Tachileik township on Monday, seizing 96 kg of ICE and arresting a suspect.

Police raided another suspect's house in Taunggyi township on Tuesday and seized 9,250 stimulant tablets.

Both suspects in the two cases have been charged under Myanmar's Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law, the report said. - Xinhua
