10 injured after hydraulic crane collapses in Mumbai


NEW DELHI: (Bernama-Xinhua) At least 10 people were injured on Friday (Aug 21) after a hydraulic crane fell onto high-tension railway overhead wires and huts in India's Mumbai, the police said, reported Xinhua.

The incident took place during preparations for demolition work in Kurla East area of the city.

According to officials, the incident disrupted goods train movement in the area.

"The incident did not affect passenger train services as the section is primarily used for goods traffic," a railway official said.

The injured were immediately moved to a nearby health facility.

The police have registered a case and ordered an investigation into the incident. - Bernama-Xinhua
