Brunei teacher trainees build bonds in Sabah

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: Five students from the Brunei Malay Teachers Association (PGGMB) Tunas Jaya School, accompanied by two teachers, two members of the PGGMB JKTT and a representative from the Department of Schools, departed for Sabah to participate in the International Kemping Perpaduan dan Integrasi Madani ‘KEMPING MADANI 4.0’ 2026.

The programme aims to provide students with opportunities to take part in activities that foster unity, integration, cooperation, leadership and friendship among participants from different countries.

PGGMB President Mustapa Masri led the Brunei delegation.

PGGMB Deputy Secretary-General (LN) Yahya Mirasan and a representative from the Department of Schools, Hajah Malhafidah Malik also attended.

The camp was held at the Fishermen’s Festival Site (Tapak Pesta Nelayan), Pantai Mempakul, Menumbok, Sabah, and organised by Sekolah Kebangsaan Pekan Menumbok and the school’s organising committee in Kuala Penyu, in cooperation with the Kuala Penyu District Education Office and the Sabah State Education Department.

The participation provided the students with the opportunity to interact with their counterparts from other countries while developing leadership, teamwork and interpersonal skills through the activities organised during the camp. – Borneo Bulletin/ANN
