Myanmar exports nearly 700,000 tonnes of rice in first four months of FY2026-27


YANGON: Myanmar exported 699,730 tonnes of rice and broken rice in the first four months of the current fiscal year 2026-27, which began in April, according to the Myanmar Rice Federation on Friday.

The South-East Asian country earned about US$232 million from the exports during the period, the federation said.

According to the federation's data, rice exports during the first four months of this fiscal year were lower than the 845,377 tonnes exported during the same period last fiscal year. - Xinhua
