As Mandarin music continues to evolve and captivate audiences across Asia, Vox Nation Live is proud to introduce MandoWave Festival, a brand-new music festival dedicated to celebrating the new wave of contemporary Mandarin music.
Making its first debut on November 28, 2026, at Megastar Arena, Kuala Lumpur, the festival promises an immersive celebration of music, culture and community while marking a significant milestone for Malaysia's live entertainment landscape.
Bringing together an impressive line-up of internationally acclaimed and homegrown artists, MandoWave Festival reflects the rich diversity of today's Mandarin music scene, spanning pop, indie, rock, alternative and contemporary sounds that continue to inspire a new generation of music lovers throughout the region.

According to the CEO of Vox Nation Live, Shawn Chang, the festival was born from a vision to create a dedicated platform where fans could experience the evolution of contemporary Mandarin music in one unforgettable live event.
"Over the past few years, we've witnessed the rise of a new generation of Mandarin artists who continue to redefine the music scene through creativity and originality.
"While many of these artists have built passionate fan communities across Asia, opportunities to see them share the same stage in Malaysia have remained limited. MandoWave Festival was created to bridge that gap, bringing together established favourites and exciting emerging talents while giving audiences the opportunity to discover something new," he said.

Designed to be more than just a concert, the festival invites audiences to immerse themselves in an all-day experience where music discovery, shared moments and community come together.
"We wanted to create a fresh, modern festival for today’s generation, more than just live performances, a space for music lovers to connect, enjoy the atmosphere and create unforgettable memories," he added.
Carefully curated to showcase the variety of contemporary Mandarin music, MandoWave Festival brings together artists whose unique musical identities have resonated with audiences throughout the region.
As the first wave of artist announcements, MandoWave Festival proudly unveils five acclaimed Taiwanese acts: TRASH, the renowned alternative rock band celebrated for their electrifying live performances, MIXER, an indie-pop band known for their fresh and vibrant sound, SHOU, a solo artist whose music blends pop and alternative influences, Diana Wang, an acclaimed singer-songwriter recognised for her distinctive pop and R&B style, and CRISPY, an indie-pop duo famous for their beautiful vocal harmonies.

Shawn explained that the line-up was curated based on musical diversity, live performance quality and the artists' strong connection with audiences across Asia.
"We wanted to create a line-up where every fan could find something to enjoy. Whether you're coming to support your favourite artist or hoping to discover someone new, we believe MandoWave Festival will offer an experience that truly reflects the richness and diversity of today's Mandarin music scene," he said.
Beyond the stellar performances, festival-goers can expect a lively festival atmosphere featuring official merchandise booths, interactive brand activations, dedicated photo opportunities and comfortable spaces where friends and families can relax between performances.
Every element has been thoughtfully designed to encourage audiences to spend the day exploring, connecting and creating unforgettable memories together.
While bringing together artists from across the region presents its own logistical challenges, Mr. Shawn explained that coordinating touring schedules while maintaining world-class production standards without compromising ticket affordability has remained one of the team's top priorities throughout the planning process.
Looking ahead, Vox Nation Live hopes MandoWave Festival will evolve into an annual celebration that continues to strengthen Malaysia's position as a destination for contemporary Mandarin music.
"Our greatest hope is that everyone leaves with unforgettable memories, discovers artists they'll continue to support, and eagerly looks forward to returning next year. If we can achieve that, we’ll know MandoWave Festival has achieved what it set out to do,” he shared.
Expressing his appreciation to fans, Shawn concluded: "Thank you for believing in MandoWave Festival from the very beginning. On 28 November, bring your family and friends, sing your hearts out, embrace every moment and celebrate the music you love with thousands of fellow fans. This is only the beginning of the MandoWave Festival journey, and we look forward to welcoming you to the very first edition."
