National bowler Timmy Tan leads the way for Nation Bowl as it makes its debut at The Mines

The Mines has signed Nation Bowl, a new tenpin bowling centre by national bowler Timmy Tan, further strengthening the mall’s family-friendly and entertainment mix and its position as a community destination. The signing ceremony was held at Level 3, West Court on Tuesday (July 28).

Slated to open in December 2026 at Level 4, North Court, Nation Bowl will occupy over 27,000 sq ft of net lettable area. The 28-lane tournament-sized tenpin bowling centre will also feature dedicated retail and café spaces, as well as a learning academy for shoppers keen to take up the sport. It is set to become a new draw for families, youths and bowling enthusiasts across the southern Klang Valley.

Alicia Yuen, General Manager, The Mines, said: “We are excited to welcome the first Nation Bowl to The Mines. This addition reflects our commitment to curating experiential offerings that resonate with our community’s evolving lifestyle needs and reinforces The Mines’ position as a unique community hub in the Klang Valley.”

Timmy Tan, the face of Nation Bowl, shared: “Running my first bowling centre at The Mines is an exciting milestone for me, both personally and professionally. The Mines’ strong family-oriented identity and vibrant community presence make it the ideal location for Nation Bowl. We look forward to creating a fun and welcoming space where people of all ages can come together through the sport of bowling.”

Nation Bowl's arrival forms part of The Mines' ongoing rejuvenation. An asset enhancement initiative (AEI) is currently underway to upgrade spaces along the canal and introduce a vibrant marketplace on Level 1. Upon completion, the AEI will see a diverse retail mix and refreshed concepts alongside familiar favourites.

Newly opened additions include Jaya Grocer, a fresh grocery offering spanning approximately 29,000 square feet, and home improvement retailer Mr D.I.Y Plus. These new tenants complement the mall’s growing lineup of attractions, dining outlets, and family-centric experiences. Recent additions include Game On Theme Park, Kin+Zo Land, Oxygym Fitness, as well as an expanding food and beverage portfolio featuring popular local and international brands.

As The Mines continues its transformation journey, the mall remains committed to elevating the overall visitor experience while reinforcing its position as one of the Klang Valley’s unique suburban lifestyle destinations.
