BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: The Public Works Department under the Ministry of Development announced the urgent valve replacement works for the Bukit Barun stage four and five transmission pipe at Kampong Imang that took place from 11pm yesterday and the duration of the replacement works which is estimated at nine hours.
In light of the replacement works, major areas of Brunei-Muara District may experience water disruption or low water pressure.
The affected areas are Mukim Berakas ‘A’ comprising parts of Kampong Lambak ‘A’ and ‘B’, Mukim Berakas ‘B’ including PN Lambak Kanan, Kampong Madang and Kampong Manggis 2, Mukim Gadong ‘A’ of PN Rimba, Kampong Rimba 1 and 2, STKRJ Rimba, STKRJ Kampong Tungku and Kampong Katok ‘A’, Mukim Gadong ‘B’ including Kampong Kiarong, Kampong Kiulap and Kampong Beribi, Mukim Kota Batu including Kampong Subok, Kampong Belimbing, Kampong Pintu Malim, Kampong Sungai Lampai, Kampong Kota Batu, Kampong Pelambayan, Kampong Dato Gandi, Kampong Sungai Matan, Kampong Serdang and Kampong Sungai Belukut.
Other affected areas are Mukim Pangkalan Batu comprising Kampong Bebatik, Kampong Batong, Kampong Panchor Murai, Kampong Masin, Kampong Pangkalan Batu, Kampong Junjongan, Kampong Wasan, Kampong Limau Manis, Kampong Bebuloh and Kampong Kuala Lurah, Mukim Lumapas namely Kampong Lumapas ‘A’ and ‘B’, Kampong Lupak Luas, Kampong Tarap Bau, Kampong Putat and Kampong Kasat, Mukim Kilanas including Kampong Telanai, Kampong Madewa, Kampong Bunut, Kampong Tasek Meradun, Kampong Kilanas, Kampong Tanjong Bunut, Kampong Bengkurong, Kampong Sinarubai and Kampong Burong Lepas, Mukim Kianggeh including Bandar Seri Begawan, Kampong Kianggeh, Kampong Berangan, Kampong Tasek Lama, Kampong Pusar Ulak, Kampong Tungkadeh, Kampong Parit (Batu Satu) and Kampong Tumasek.
Also affected are Mata-Mata Dedap tank covering areas of Kampong Jangsak, Kampong Beribi, Kampong Mata-Mata, Kampong Telanai, part of police headquarters Gadong, Jalan Gadong and Jalan Rakyat Jati Rimba, Mata Mata tank covering the whole of PN Kampong Mata-Mata and surrounding areas; the Melabau Reservoir namely Serusop Commercial Areas, Time Square commercial areas, Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium, Kampong Jaya Setia, Kampong Jaya Bakti, Kampong Burong Pingai Berakas, Jalan Perdana Menteri, Jalan Kumbang Pasang, Jalan Gadong and Kampong Pangkalan Gadong; the Pulaie Reservoir that covers Kampong Pulaie, Kampong Anggerek Desa, Kampong Pancha Delima, Jalan Kebangsaan Lama, Jalan Kebangsaan, Kampong Pengiran Siraja Muda Delima Satu and Kampong Orang Kaya Besar Imas as well as the Diplomatic reservoir which includes the Diplomatic enclave, Kampong Sungai Akar, Islamic Da’wah Centre, Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Primary School, Al-Falah School and the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
In addition, Belimbing reservoir is also affected, which includes Radio Televisyen Brunei and Jalan Sungai Akar, Sungai Hanching reservoir areas namely Jalan Muara, Kampong Sungai Tilong, Kampong Manggis Dua, Kampong Sungai Hanching, Jalan Utama Salambigar, Kampong Sungai Orok and Kampong Salambigar as well as Katimahar tank reservoir covering Kampong Katimahar, Kampong Lugu, Kampong Kulapis, Kampong Tanjong Nangka and surrounding areas are also affected.
The affected areas also include Jerudong 1 tank reservoir affecting Kampong Jerudong, JPMC, Janakuasa Letrik Jerudong and Jerudong Park as well as the Jerudong 2 tank reservoir covering areas of Kampong Sengkurong ‘A’ and ‘B’, Kampong Selayun, Kampong Tanjong Bunut Kanan, Kampong Sengkurong, Penjara Jerudong and parts of Jalan Jerudong.
Blue tanks for public to collect water are located at Mukim Berakas ‘A’ at Kampong Lambak Mosque, Jalan Pasir Berakas, Mukim Berakas ‘B’ at Jalan 77 near the community hall, open areas of PN Lambak Kanan Mosque, Jalan 1 near the community hall, Lambak Kanan 1, Jalan 31, Jalan 11, Jalan 64, Jalan 49 and Jalan 3. For Mukim Gadong ‘A’ at Taman Rekreasi PN Kampong Rimba, Mukim Gadong ‘B’ at Kampong Beribi Mosque and Jubli Perak Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque, Kampong Jangsak, Mukim Kota Batu at Belimbing Subok Mosque, Mukim Pangkalan Batu at Kampong Limau Manis Mosque, Jefri Bolkiah Kampong Batong Mosque and Kampong Panchor Murai Mosque while Mukim Kilanas at Bebatik Kilanas Mosque and Kilanas Mosque.
