Indonesia raises citizenship application fees


Indonesia has raised fees for several citizenship-related applications under a new regulation that will be implemented next month.

JAKARTA: The Indonesian government has raised fees for several citizenship-related applications under a new regulation that will take effect on Aug 1, local media reported Wednesday (July 15).

The fee for obtaining Indonesian citizenship through marriage-based naturalisation will increase by 66.7 per cent to 25 million rupiah (about US$1,383) from 15 million rupiah.

The fee for foreign nationals applying for naturalisation will also rise to 75 million rupiah per application from 50 million rupiah.- Xinhua
