NEW DELHI: In a shocking new revelation in the Ketan Agarwal murder case, investigators have claimed that prime accused Siya Goyal had taken Rs 1 crore from him on the pretext of shopping for the wedding.

However, investigators reportedly found that Siya allegedly transferred the money to her lover and co-accused Chetan Chaudhary.

The alleged murder of 26-year-old Pune businessman Ketan Vishal Agarwal was meticulously planned by his fiancée Siya Goyal and her lover Chetan.

Ketan died on June 18 after falling into a valley at Pune’s iconic Lohagad Fort, where he had gone with Siya.

Siya tried to paint the incident as an accident and told police that Ketan slipped and fell into the valley while clicking pictures.

However, when Ketan’s family raised suspicion and police began to dig deeper, they unearthed a chilling conspiracy by the woman who was about to marry Ketan later this year.

Ketan’s family had already booked a lavish resort in Rajasthan’s Udaipur and two private planes for their guests.

Investigators have claimed that Siya and Chetan devised a long-term strategy to avoid suspicion after the crime.

Forensic analysis of their mobile phones revealed that they searched on Google for ways to avoid police suspicion and how to kill Ketan.

They deleted the search history and chats exchanged between them. Hours before the murder, Siya and Chetan met at a cafe to discuss the plan and how to execute it.

Investigators have also claimed that Siya Goyal did not want to marry Ketan Agarwal because he used a hair patch and had a stammer. - The Statesman/ANN
