A sea of 'gold' and vibrant colours Bukit Jalil in grand fashion, as EXO creates a night full of sensation in concert

KUALA LUMPUR: The fans of K-pop superstar group EXO have been longing for it for so long. They got their wish on Saturday (June 20) night at the National Hockey Stadium in Bukit Jalil.

The fans wishes were finally fulfilled when the popular K-pop group, EXO, shook Kuala Lumpur again through the EXO PLANET #6 – EXhOrizon world tour held at the venue.

The concert, which started at 8 PM, saw thousands of fans, also known as EXO-L, flooding the stadium to witness the return of their idols after their last performance in Malaysia in 2019. It was full in the venue as more than 15,000 ramped up the atmosphere at the stadium.

Although there are now only five members left in the group, EXO still received overwhelming support and cheers from EXO-L from the beginning until the concert ended.

This time in Kuala Lumpur, over two hours, EXO performed songs that are quite popular among EXO-Ls, including Growl, Monster, Ko Ko Bop, Tempo, Love Shot, Don’t Go, Baby Don’t Cry, and Love Me Right, as well as a series of new songs from the REVERXE album, including 'Crown'.

What's really interesting is that the atmosphere in the stadium changes every time the EXO-L lightsticks change colour for each song they sing. This created a visually stunning atmosphere throughout the concert.

Although the weather was quite hot that night, it did not hinder EXO from proving their popularity in the region as many fans from Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam also came to watch them.

After more than a decade in the music industry, EXO is bringing this tour to all their fans through EXhOrizon, which means horizon, a symbol of a new beginning for them after the loss of 7 group members.

Starting with Seoul, this Asia tour series has chosen several countries, including Kuala Lumpur as one of the destinations alongside Indonesia and Singapore.
