Scare fest movie 'Polong' continues to grow from strength to strength and goes past RM10mil in ticket sales

The horror film "Polong" continues to receive support from moviegoers, having recorded a collection of RM10 million to date, thereby solidifying its position as one of the hottest local films.

That achievement came just a few days after the film directed by Zulkarnain Azhar created extraordinary momentum with a collection of RM5.5 million within four days of screening.

Continuous support from audiences nationwide has allowed Polong to surpass another significant milestone by breaking the RM10 million mark.

Since its premiere, Polong has not only captured the attention of local horror film enthusiasts but has also become a hot topic of conversation on social media through various audience experience shares, with viewers admitting to being affected by the eerie atmosphere and the story full of mystery.

Lifting the tale of a legacy of black magic, past sins, and curses that transcend generations, Polong successfully creates its own identity through a combination of traditional local horror elements and a deep psychological narrative.

Produced by Golden Star Pictures Sdn Bhd (GSPSB) with distribution support from 10 Star Cinemas Sdn Bhd and marketing collaboration from Primeworks Studios and Astro Shaw, Polong features a stellar cast including Mimi Lana, Jun Lojong, Fad Anuar, Namron, Nadiya Nisaa, Amir Nafis, and many more.

This film continues to receive positive feedback from audiences who praise the storytelling, acting, cinematic visuals, and sound design that successfully enhance the viewing experience.

Even more commendable, the success of Polong proves that local horror works still hold a special place in the hearts of Malaysians when presented with unique quality, identity, and storytelling strength.

With the momentum still strong and encouraging reception in cinemas across the country, Polong is seen as having the potential to achieve even more in the coming weeks.
