Malaysian citizen confirmed dead in Philippine building collapse

MANILA (Xinhua): A Malaysian citizen who was trapped in an apartment hotel next to a collapsed building in Angeles City, Pampanga, in the northern Philippines, has died, according to local media on Sunday.

Twenty-six people have been rescued after a nine-storey building under construction collapsed early Sunday in Angeles City.

Twenty-four people were pulled from the collapsed structure, while two others were rescued from the nearby apartment hotel struck by the incident.
