Celebrity Charity Golf 2026: A real festive affair combining entertainment, sports, and charity

A lively and relaxed atmosphere coloured the Celebrity Charity Golf 2026 as a lineup of celebrities, creative industry practitioners, and sponsors gathered for an event that combined elements of entertainment, sports, and charity.

The programme organised by the Malaysian Artists Association (Karyawan) with the support of FINAS, the Malaysian Professional Film Workers Association (PROFIMA), and the Kota Seriemas Golf & Country Club was held to raise charitable funds to assist artists and film industry workers in need.

The gala dinner held in the evening was also attended by the Chairman of FINAS and the Chief Executive Officer of FINAS.

Many Malaysian celebrities including the likes of Hans Isaac and other officials in the local entertainment industry, attended the event and further enlivened the festive atmosphere.

Karyawan President, Freddie Fernandez, said that the programme is not just a casual golf event, but carries a bigger mission of helping fellow artists who are facing health issues and financial difficulties.

"We want to create something that people can enjoy while helping." When there is golf, dinner, gifts, and networking, people come not just to donate but also to feel appreciated," he said.

According to him, the Celebrity Charity Golf, held every two years since 2016, has now become one of the most anticipated charity events among artists and corporate partners.

He added that the response received this year was also very encouraging as several corporate companies came forward to contribute to the success of the charity mission.

Freddie said that such programmes are to be continued consistently to ensure the welfare of local artists is maintained, especially those who face health issues and financial difficulties after no longer being active in the industry.

"We want the public to know that there are still many veteran artists who need attention and assistance." A small contribution from everyone is very meaningful for them," he said.

In addition to the action on the golf course, the gala dinner was also lively with a casual session with artists, lucky draws, and opportunities for guests to mingle with famous local celebrities.

At the same time, many praised the collaboration between Karyawan, FINAS, and PROFIMA, which was described as the best example of solidarity in the creative industry in caring for the welfare of artists.
