Vietnamese PM vows to turn Vietnam-Laos-Cambodia traditional friendship into development driver


HANOI/VIENTIANE (Xinhua): Vietnamese Prime Minister Le Minh Hung said on Friday that he will work closely with his Lao and Cambodian counterparts to turn the three countries' longstanding friendship into a driver for their fast and sustainable development, the Vietnam News Agency reported.

Hung made the remarks during a working breakfast with Lao PM Sonexay Siphandone and Cambodian PM Hun Manet on the sidelines of the 48th ASEAN Summit in Cebu, the Philippines, according to the report.

At the event, the three PMs agreed to deepen collaboration in defense and security, cross-border trade, transport connectivity, strategic infrastructure development, logistics and tourism, while supporting one another at regional and international forums and bolstering cooperation with other ASEAN countries amid global volatility, the report added. - Xinhua
