Vietnam's GDP forecast to grow 7.2 per cent in 2026: Asian Development Bank

HANOI: Vietnam's gross domestic product (GDP) is forecast to grow 7.2 per cent in 2026 and 7 per cent in 2027, the Vietnam News Agency reported, citing a report released by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) on Friday (April 10).

The Southeast Asian country's inflation is also projected to rise to 4 per cent this year and decline to 3.8 per cent next year, according to the report.

The bank said Vietnam faces significant downside risks to growth amid prolonged conflicts in the Middle East, as well as uncertainties surrounding US tariff policies and economic slowdowns among key trading partners, the report added. - Xinhua
