MANILA: A 29-year-old massage therapist was arrested Tuesday (March 31) in Paranaque for allegedly attempting to secretly video-record a female client undressing inside a mall spa.
Police identified the suspect, known by the alias “Jun-Jun” and a resident of Pasay City, who was apprehended around 2.30pm, at a spa on the second floor of a commercial mall in Barangay Tambo.
According to the 31-year-old victim, she and a companion were clients at the spa when she noticed the male therapist peeking into her cubicle and allegedly pointing a cell phone at her while she was undressing for a massage.

The suspect was taken into custody, informed of his rights, and is facing charges under the Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism Act of 2009 (Republic Act No. 9995) and Article 287 of the Revised Penal Code for unjust vexation.
The case has been referred to the Women and Children Protection Desk of the Parañaque City Police Station for further investigation.
Southern Police District (SPD) director Brig. Gen. Randy Arceo reminded the public to remain vigilant even in spaces meant for relaxation and commended the victim for promptly reporting the incident.
