JAKARTA:  Indonesia’s Soekarno-Hatta International Airport has retained its spot in the world’s top 10 for immigration services, reflecting continued gains in service efficiency and passenger experience.

Skytrax’s 2026 report showed that Soekarno-Hatta International Airport ranked 10th globally for immigration services, while also placed 22nd in the World’s Top 100 Airports, eighth among the Best Airports in Asia, and second in the category for airports handling 50 million to 60 million passengers annually.

Acting Director General of Immigration Yuldi Yusman said the achievement reflects the ministry’s ongoing reforms and innovations in immigration services, particularly at international airports.

"It is a notable achievement that we have remained in Skytrax’s global top 10 ranking from last year to this year,” he said, according to Antara News Agency, on Friday (March 20).

Skytrax, a London-based aviation consultancy that evaluates and ranks airport services worldwide, released its World Airport Awards 2026 on March 18.

Yuldi said Indonesia has demonstrated stability in service quality, as reflected in customer ratings from various countries, covering aspects such as waiting time efficiency, autogate optimisation, priority lane availability, and personnel professionalism. - Bernama
