Indonesian veteran star musician Lucky Joe is back to excite the fans with the festive single 'Senyum Raya'

JAKARTA: After nearly 13 years of silence from the music scene, singer and songwriter Lucky Joe is back to grace the local music industry with his latest single titled “Senyum Raya”.

The official launch of this song marks his return to the music industry, coinciding with his 45th birthday in 2026.

Lucky Joe began his singing career journey from 2000 to 2012, producing nine singles in the pop, dangdut, and poco-poco genres.

However, he later decided to take a break from singing to become more active behind the scenes as an artist manager, TV drama scriptwriter, TikTok drama writer, sitcom writer, and also involved in real estate and event management.

Although he was inactive as a singer, his talent and creative touch never ceased. During this period, Lucky Joe composed many songs that were sold to several record labels. In fact, several famous artists have recorded songs he composed, even though his name as a songwriter was not always publicised.

Now, after nearly 13 years of hiatus, Lucky Joe has chosen his birth month as a special moment to gift a new work to himself and his fans. The song “Senyum Raya” was launched on February 21, 2026, and can be enjoyed on 11 international digital music platforms.

“Senyum Raya” is a Raya song with a simple, fresh, and easily memorable pop concept. The song was created and completed in just 20 days, including the music arrangement process.

Lucky Joe intentionally produced a shorter and simpler Raya song so that it would be easily accepted by all segments of society – from Gen Z to adults.

According to Lucky Joe, the song carries messages of cheerfulness, sincere apologies, and the warmth of the Aidilfitri atmosphere with family back in the hometown. It upholds the values of love, forgiveness, and gratitude to the Almighty.

This single is produced by Mahardika Production, with musical arrangement by Seefar, and managed under the independent label DragonBeat Records. It is distributed by Nadayana Music as the music publisher & Rentak Sejuta as the promotional partner.

Lucky Joe describes this comeback as a new chapter in his artistic journey.

“This is a gift for myself and also for everyone who misses a different musical color during the months of Ramadan and Syawal. ‘Senyum Raya’ is a sign that I am back creating as a singer and songwriter,” he said.

With renewed spirit and extensive experience both on and off stage, Lucky Joe is ready to return to active participation in the music industry and continue producing works that resonate with the public.
