YANGON: Fuel reference prices show that gasoline has risen by 305 kyats per litre (US$0.15) and diesel by nearly 600 kyats per litre, according to the Fuel Oil Import, Storage and Distribution Supervisory Committee.
Fuel prices are revised weekly, usually on Fridays.
On March 13, the committee announced that fuel prices in Yangon were set at 2,830 kyats per litre for 92 Ron, 2,930 kyats per litre for 95 Ron, 3,205 kyats per litre for diesel and 3,560 kyats per litre for premium diesel.
In comparison, last week’s prices were 2,525 kyats per litre for 92 Ron, 2,595 kyats per litre for 95 Ron, 2,610 kyats per litre for diesel and 2,905 kyats per litre for premium diesel.
This indicates an increase of 305 kyats per litre for 92 Ron, 335 kyats for 95 Ron, 595 kyats for diesel and 655 kyats for premium diesel.
Global oil prices have fluctuated due to conflicts in the Middle East, which has also affected domestic fuel prices.
