Aster Edu signs agreement with 15 education entrepreneurs to open new branches across Malaysia

SHAH ALAM: Education company Aster Edu marked another milestone today by signing a collaboration agreement with 15 pioneering education entrepreneurs who will open Aster Edu tuition centre branches in several locations across Malaysia.

All of them represent the first pioneer group joining the Aster Edu Licensing programme, a collaboration model that allows entrepreneurs to operate tuition centres using the systems, modules, and teaching staff provided by Aster Edu.

The founder of Aster Edu, Rafat Wajdy Muhammad (pic), said the programme was introduced to help more students gain access to quality education through a more structured and professional learning system.

According to him, one of the unique features that differentiates Aster Edu from other tuition centres is its “2 Teachers in 1 Class” approach, where one teacher focuses on teaching while another assists students by answering questions directly throughout the class session.

“This model is designed so that students do not only listen to lessons but also receive immediate assistance whenever they face difficulties in understanding a topic,” he said.

"This year, it has been a great start for Aster Edu also. Already we have more than 12,000 students enrolled for our programmes for the secondary level courses. Besides that, we also more than 10,000 students enrolled for out primary school prgrammes," said Rafat.

"Our system has been very successful and it has produced some top students over the last 10 years. We are celebrating our 10th year this year and hence the special licensee programme for tutors in the Klang valley."

In addition, Aster Edu also features a lineup of expert teachers in their respective fields, including well-known educators such as Dr. Shukri Abdullah, Cikgu Shahrin Zikri, Cikgu Rajaei, and Ticer Liya.

The tuition programne is open to students from Year 4 to Form 5, with fees starting as low as RM89 per month for four subjects, making it one of the more affordable quality tuition programs in Malaysia.

He added that the response to the licensing program has been very encouraging, and the company expects more education entrepreneurs to join the Aster Edu network in the near future.

“These 15 entrepreneurs are the first group to open Aster Edu branches, and we are targeting 1,000 branches to be established soon to meet parents’ demand for quality online tuition,” he said.
