Laos advances efforts to promote disability rights

VIENTIANE: Laos' Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare, in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme in Laos, is taking steps to promote disability rights in line with international standards.

According to the ministry's report on Wednesday (Feb 25), a conference on the National Action Plan to Implement the Recommendations of the Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities was held on Monday (Feb 23) in the Lao capital Vientiane.
