SINGAPORE: A man has been sentenced to 23 months’ jail for cheating a woman he met on online marketplace Carousell of over S$268,000 within the span of seven months.

Thevendran Elan Goven, 31, was handed the sentence on Thursday (Feb 5), after he earlier pleaded guilty to one count of cheating. Two other similar charges were taken into consideration.
