Blackpink's Lisa named Amazing Thailand ambassador

BANGKOK: Lalisa "Lisa” Manobal (pic) of Blackpink has been named the Amazing Thailand Ambassador under the "Feel All the Feelings” campaign.

Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool said Lisa’s role as ambassador will showcase Thailand’s beauty, unique appeal and value from a fresh perspective, encouraging visitors to appreciate the country not only for its scenic destinations but also for meaningful experiences that stay with them.

"The appointment of Lisa as the Amazing Thailand Ambassador marks a new chapter in conveying Thailand’s charm, connecting hearts with the country, and inviting travellers to experience every ‘feeling’ that defines Thailand - not just as a destination, but as a Quality Leisure Destination,” she said at the launch of the campaign held at Wat Arun Ratchawararam here on Wednesday (Jan 28).

Thapanee added that TAT continues to strengthen confidence in Thai tourism through the Trusted Thailand initiative, positioning the country as a quality destination that travellers can trust and choose with confidence.

Commenting on the "Feel All the Feelings” campaign, Thapanee said it encourages Thais to be "good hosts” while reinforcing traveller confidence through the Trusted Thailand initiative, which aims to ensure that every visit is reassuring, memorable and inspires repeat travel.

She said TAT believes that showcasing Thailand’s beauty through Lisa’s perspective will help travellers view the country as a leading quality destination, with depth beyond its scenic attractions.

"Every experience carries value, and every moment of travel - whether through people, culture, ways of life or atmosphere - is meaningful," she said.

"We want each visit to create long-lasting memories that inspire travellers to visit Thailand, return and share their stories.” - Bernama
