South Korea's ex-first lady handed 20 months in jail for corruption

SEOUL: A South Korean court sentenced former first lady Kim Keon Hee on Wednesday (Jan 28) to one year and eight months in prison for corruption, following her husband's jailing over actions linked to his disastrous 2024 martial law declaration.

"The defendant is sentenced to one year and eight months' imprisonment," judge Woo In-sung of the Seoul Central District Court said. - AFP
