BEIJING (Xinhua): An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.1 jolted Mindanao, Philippines, at 1853 GMT on Monday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 6.43 degrees north latitude and 123.78 degrees east longitude.
There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries from the earthquake.
The Philippines is in the Pacific "Ring of Fire," where volcanic activity and earthquakes are common. - Xinhua
